Ferrara, Florence and, now, Rome

We drove to Ferrara without much trouble on Friday. The bike rental shop, randomly, closed it ruined my plans to take the family on a bicycle tour for Ferrara. The following morning we drove to or more accurately sat most of the way in traffic to Florence. Upon our arrival we headed straight to the Uffizi, where teenager rap "star" soulja was playing, just slight unexpected.

Yesterday we took a short bus tour around Florence, walked the Ponte Vecchio, viewedthe green and white Duomo, visited the Accademia to see the David stand there in all his naked glory, a short Christmas concert finished the evening.

This morning we took an early train ride to Roma and short taxi ride to our apartment that we'll say in for the next week. The apartment is close to the main sights, on a small street that is near a daily market, it's a wonderful non-touristy location. Tonight we are taking turns standing in line to attend midnight mass at St. Peters Basilica with Pope Benedict XVI. Buon Natale.
